If you are a member of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), you can apply for one of 10 $1,000 mini grants for Teen Tech Week funded by Best Buy. YALSA is looking for unique and innovative proposals geared to assist teens in gaining skills in using digital media for education, entertainment, or career building. The mini-grant is to be used to support the activity. Individual library branches within a larger system are welcome to apply.
The deadline is January 1, 2014. Visit the application site now to review questions and prepare answers. This year’s theme is “DIY @ your library,” and the dates for YALSA’s Teen Tech Week are March 9-15, 2014.
